Launched in 2016, the Share the Passion program marked the beginning of Sun Life Grepa’s standalone corporate social responsibility efforts while also being the anchor program for its strategic donations and social sponsorships.
Sun Life Grepa made its annual donation to the Hebreo Foundation for the latter’s twin advocacies on health and education. This was given as part of Sun Life Grepa’s support for the 2022 Sunpiology Family Challenge event.
Food donation to Hospital frontliners
Sun Life Grepa ran a fund drive where employees were encouraged to donate money to show their gratitude and encouragement to our health care workers who have been at the forefront against COVID-19. Each peso collected was matched by the company. Sun Life Grepa used the fund to provide over 700 food packs to frontline health workers of Makati Medical Center and Ospital ng Maynila.
Medical and Dental Mission to members of Ahon sa Hirap
Sun Life Grepa together with the A.Y. Foundation conducted a medical and dental mission for Ahon sa Hirap, Inc. members in San Jose, Antique, Dasmarinas, Cavite, and Mauban, Quezon.
Tablet Donation to DepEd – Division of General Trias
Sun Life Grepa together with the A.Y. Foundation donated tablets to the Department of Education – Division of General Trias. These tablets were distributed to four different schools, namely Tropical Village Elementary School, Governor Ferrer Main National High School, Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School and Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. National High School.
Christmas Fund Drive for A.Y. Foundation
Sun Life Grepa supports the Christmas Fund Drive where employees were encouraged to make a financial donation for the AY Foundation’s charitable causes. The money was donated to Caritas Manila through the AY Foundation in time for the Yuletide season.
This Christmas donation was in addition to the company’s annual donation of 1% of total company income or five million pesos to the AY Foundation which was used in various foundation efforts.
